This blog is only 2 days old - so the obvious thing to do is to start documenting what Financial Jesus is doing to get a large readership worth bragging about. As you maybe read, we already have 83 RSS subscribers after our second day.

It’s obvious that we will be a success, after all we iz deh Financial Jesus.

What is the first thing you should do after starting a new blog?

Well, the first thing we did was to take a deep breath and say: Woohhooo, we did it baby!!!!

But after realizing that the difficult part - keeping the blog up and running is just starting - we took a deep breath and visited one of the biggest friend of bloggers - www.feedburner.com

Feedburner allows a blogger to give their original RSS feed to FeedBurner and get back a specialised feed which allows you to keep track of who is reading your content.

The reason that one should replace their original feed with a Feedburner feed as fast as possible is that when you give your readers a chance to subscribe to your non-feedburner feed you will never know how many followers you have. Delaying too long with the switch from an ordinary feed to a feedburner feed could mean that you will never be quite sure how many people are reading your content through your old feed and how many through your new feed.

Wordpress and Feedburner?

Since Wordpress is the platform of choise here at Financial Jesus we did what every thinking blogger would do - we installed the FeedBurner FeedSmith plugin.

FeedBurner FeedSmith plugin will detect all ways to access your feed on your blog and redirect it to your new FeedBurner feed. Thanks to this plugin you don’t have to do any digging in the code yourself. This saves a ton of timeĀ  we want to worry about making money with our blog, not writing code.
