Yes you will get it, just "how bad do you want it?", once I want a gadget that allow me blogging while I'm in the middle of rice field or somewhere, I was thinking that maybe I can make money from blogging and buy that gadget one day (cell phones, laptops, whatever), I never imagine before, about how I can afford one, I have my income enough for day to day living, then I never want it again to have such gadgets (mine was an old siemens). Amazing thing happens when you don't want it anymore or just let go. Now I have my first S60 smartphone to blog with and a netbook ->just because I want a keyboard attached to my smartphone :), not by blogging though. Hardwork, I agree with that.

Vincent - I think your friend misunderstood The Secret.
It is obvious that nothing comes to you without work - hard work, focus and discipline are more important than ever!
For me the Secret basically says 1 thing - if you want something really bad you will get it.

Wanting something really bad means that you work for it and do whatever possible to get it. It does not mean buy a lottery ticket and wait without doing nothing!

Believing in yourself and hard work are important (as in your other post), getting convinced by a unpersonalized book/movie that you will be rich is not the right thing. There are more and more people who think they owe it to be rich. I knew a person who only worked the minimum, because he read the secret and therefor was to win the lottery (his room was full of copies of his lottery-ticket, words like "you will win with this ticket" written on it).

The bad thing about Europe/US that we are getting more-and-more lazy, so new economies like China get all the money. The good part is that currently you can still get a lot of money by simply not being lazy.

Currently I need a house-to-rent in Utrecht, Netherlands, which is actually impossible if you don't want to pay too much (half your wage is a good start for a few square meters). I let everybody know I look for a house, take the time for it, tell about my wish at any occasion and truly believe it is not impossible. In the next few months I hope to be called and someone offers me a house in the center of Utrecht. This networking-thing works a lot better than advertising in a paper. "The secret" describes the same way of working, but -to my opinion- the wrong way.
